NNeng-M= Brian Moran, Molly Kittle, Benton-C Bainbridge, Nancy Meli Walker
Brian Moran received a residency at ETC and invited Molly Kittle, Nancy Meli Walker and Benton Bainbridge. The NNeng-M sessions were directed by Brian but the collaboration of artists, techniques and inspiration developed the work. Brian originally intended to create a dance, sound and video piece for performance in New York City.
Originally titled "Fever," "Sleep or Sweat" was the last piece we made during our Experimental Television Center residency. Nowadays there is software that emulates the look of the oscillator-controlled Jones Colorizer (e.g.- Vidvox VDMX), but this was 1999... back when it could only be done at ETC.
